The ‘Washing Line’ thing, and Badgers in raffles

I like postcards.

Just prettypostcards on my wall

I’ve made this thing – inspired by a Galadarling post- that Mum calls the ‘washing line thing’. I bought a load of string and some pegs and tied it to the hooks that all the pictures in my room live on, and now my room is lovely. Except I have ONE postcard, from Ma.

So send me a pretty postcard of your favourite things/make it from a icecream-lid (INVINCIBLE, RECYCLED postcard) or send me the cover of the phonebook with a stamp on it, an old test paper, a minature bamboo raft with a stamp on it. I will (if it makes it through customs) cherish it, and string it up in every home I ever make.

IN OTHER NEWS, I saw my first ever badger, and some WILD PONIES. THe ponies were lovely, doing what ponies should be doing. The badger was lying in the middle of the road, on its back. I would call it roadkill, but it was considerably less FLAT that traditional roadkill. It was pretty solid. I kept thinking about that badger, and we talked about it a lot too. Liz suggested I put a zip in it’s tummy and put my pjamas in it (? must be an english thing?). I became fixated upon aquiring a talking pet badger for myself. I have badger on the brain. Liz has promised me one for my birthday. She has also promised me we will go see the castle, get compliments, and go to Butlins, all for my birthday. I AM a lucky girl. Perhaps I can put on the charm and try to push it forwards to christmas. At least the badger.

Tonight we were at this thing where there was a raffle, one of the prizes being a badger in a dress for a doorstop. I was so excited I could barely speak. We didn’t win. Sigh.

As a result, I have been shopping for badger stuff. I want this:

Mother Badger Tote Bag

http://bags.cafepress.com/item/mother-badger-tote-bag/193911979 Mother should buy me it. definitely. I am NOT being stupid. If mother does not buy it, I WILL. I am obsessed with Badgers and the colour yellow.

Al Fine:

ok is it weird that I am obsessed with yellow and badgers?
..HUFFLEPUFF! the one that noone wants to think they’d be when they were reading the book!

…… oh come on, everyone wondered, whilst reading harry potter, which one they’d be, right? I AM NOT THAT GEEKY, RIGHT? RIGHT?

why does harry potter come up so frequently in this blog?
